Winning true road games at Northwestern and NC State have both proven to be real accomplishments, too, perhaps above and beyond knocking off UVa and Miami in your own barn. A 5-3 record in Quadrant 1 bodes well too, undoubtedly, and Pitt could add the best win of its regular season if it can get a result at Miami March 4. First, though, the Panthers have to avoid bad losses to Syracuse Saturday (at home) and Notre Dame next Wednesday (in South Bend). Provided they do so, they’ll almost certainly go dancing.
