Michigan: Darnell Dickerson or Avonte Maddox?
Dickerson was a mega-talent who was a football and baseball all-American (drafted by KC Royals out of HS), and was all-state in football, baseball and basketball in Michigan's top HS football division. Super promising start to his Pitt career, then f'd up his grades, was ruled ineligible for his junior year, and went to play minor league ball for the Royals. Came back to Pitt after one year but lost his job and moved to WR. Promising but disappointing Pitt career.
Maddox; lightly recruited, got thrown in the deep end and told to swim on a bad team and struggled, but through hard work and perseverance became a very solid college CB by the end of his career.
