The big 12 would be wise......

Better yet put a little birdy in the Rooneys ears to move the Steelers to SD!

Nothing would help Pitt more than the Steelers leaving town. It will never happen but the infatuation this area has for that team is a huge reason why our fanbase is so limited.

Honestly, just because of thinking like this, I would root for another school and urge others who wohld listen to me to do the same. Pitt needs to fix themselves, not root for others to go away.

B12 or PAC 12, makes a lot of sense. Build a new 45K seat stadium and they should be able to pack it with the boost of Chargers fans who stop following the team.

Btw, I was remiss in my first smarttail reply, but the OP made a good point. SDST would be smart for them to look at. Emerging basketball team in recent years. Can possibly fill a vaccum in a football-hungry major city (but probably only if they were in a P5 conference, meaning a realistic path to a NC, which Pittsburgh fans would also insist on before buying in).

Pitt always says (pretends) that what holds it back from investing adequately in sports success is lack of fan support (conveniently absolving itself from having to earn that support, as anyone selling a product has to do).

One way to make your subpar product appealing to more people is if the superior competition up and left for the opposite end of the country.

Which will never happen and was just a joke, so calm down everybody. Da Stillers will always be there for you, even if your college team mostly is not.

Turning SDSU into a national power while the Chargers struggle in LA would be pretty decent payback. I'm guessing the Chargers are begging to come back to San Diego in 10-15 years (if another team doesn't move there first). I see the Rams improving with their new coach while the Bolts struggle (especially when Rivers leaves) and fall way behind in fan support like the LA Rams did in Anaheim.
