I must confess that the Iowa/ LSU ncaa women’s tourney game last night was the first women’s game I have ever watched from start to finish….I found it entertaining for one reason , that being watching Caitlin Clark. Her shooting range is “ Hinsoneseque”! She had nine 3 pointers and I believe 40 points and 12 assists. And as for her passing, this lady has an incredible feel for the game and had some absolutely breathtaking assists. Does she have holes in her game…aside from not seemingly having a knack for the mid range game she’s a pretty complete player. As I watched her, I had flashbacks of Pete Maravich and the way he used to control a game. Kudos to Caitlin.
On the coaching side, however, I thought that watching the Iowa staff the last minute was like watching amateur hour….with LSU out of timeouts and desperate, she was calling TOs left and right….a big mess to say the least but Iowa hung on nonetheless.
