Was it just me or did anybody else think the refs held up the extra point after pickets 1st td to see if there was going to be a review of the Pickett td, Pitt was lined up to kick and the ref was standing over the ball holding up the kick. Did anyone else pick up on this. The td was confirmed

That's standard when they're reviewing. They have a replay official that holds up the play until it's decided. What I don't get is why they needed a replay review after taking that many looks.

The refs don't hold up the next play. They usually just stop it in time before it starts

No, they stand over the ball until the review has been confirmed on scoring plays. They don’t stand over the ball on regular plays.

Not on scoring plays, they hold up the play until the replay official signals they can go. Just like they have the commercial official in red, they've got a replay person in bright green.
