A loss to Texas? Not so bad. A loss to Michigan St.? Not bad at all, except that Paul Chryst and Wisky bashed St. this weekend. A loss to the Dukies? Not bad if it is hoops, but this is football. Lol
The powerful Irish is 1-3 with a great win over the perennial power Nevada! DC Van Gorder now gone and Kelly will probably get to finish the season before he is served his pink slip. We may not have a whole lot going in our favor right now either, but we are 2-2 and could be 4-0 if we had played to win and not to lose! We have our deficiencies but we do have a good coach who needs more talent.

I wonder if any of the locals are reconsidering their decisions given these developments? Notre Dame may have a good education to offer, but the stability of the program is teetering right now. Why go to South Bend and join the Flopping Irish, when you can stay home and make Pitt great again?

I doubt that any locals will reconsider, ND is one of the few schools recruits pick a/c the school instead of coaching staff.

Throttled them....and darn near got beat.
Lucky to pull that one out. That's fact. And allowing that "throttled" team to make that comeback was not Narduzzi's finest hour.
I'm just not impressed yet with coaching from him and his staff. Let a weak Franklin coached PSU team back in the game and let NC rally to win with two late scores.
He could be the next Saban. Or he could be the next Kelly. Time will tell. Hopefully he improves and my opinion of him does the same.

I agree. I think those kids from CC that already committed to ND were in his ear and kind of coaxed him there. He can see the ship sinking. Maybe they all can. These kids all want to win, maybe seeing ND at 1-3 with their only win coming over Nevada, they might decide that they have a better chance to play for a winner elsewhere. Plus they have to realize a new staff will be coming in if Kelly doesn't right the ship like immediately. He might not make it through the season if the losses continue to mount.

This is rich coming from a Penn St fan. Lucky Harbaugh took his foot of the gas or we would have dropped 60 on Penn State. Difference between Pitt and Psu coaches is that Narduzzi actually knows how to develop talent . Can you say the same of Franklin ?
