and the rest of us non athletes will never see this type of money unless your a CEO of a major corporation, depressing. Rome's got to pay their gladiators right?

The rookie cap that was added in the NFL's last CBA has been great. If a guy is a bust, the money you spend isn't as great as it once was. Sam Bradford was the last No. 1 overall pick to get a ridiculous signing bonus, and he has't lived up to that contract at all. I want to say he received $50 million before ever taking a snap.

Related, and telling, is that this event, which wasn't even a game, and had hours and hours of nothing happening in between a few moments of a chubby pasty guy in a suit announcing some names, attracted massive crowds in Chicago, many more than anticipated, and several days of good ratings on a national network.

Translate that into the dollars, add in the billions that the games, merchandising, sponsor monies, et al generate, and I don't begrudge the players for what they get at all. It's why I don't blame the college players for trying to get something.

The product is massively popular. The money will be spent. Would you rather have the billionaire owners reap that much more?

Oklahoma has seldom put any great QB in the NFL but they got credit for winning 11 game seasons and won Heismans but way overrated. Jason White was not even drafted but OU put a statue up to that Bum that fathered 6 children during his play at OU.

QB Bears Cutler was way overpaid a few years ago and drove QB Contracts above 100 million. Cutler and Romo are good QBs but not Championship QBs, in my opinion, and way overpaid as well. Same for UCincy Dalton.

I am not a fan of Winston due to seeing him being another Mike Vick that is one scandal away from being an distraction, regardless of great talent.

I think Oregon's Mariota is another Romo and Cutler as well. These fast running passing QBs tend not to be tough enough to take a beating the NFL does to a QB during a season.

Just my opinions and just hunches, we shall see?

I like QBs like Brady, Manning, Rogers, Wilson, and even Big Ben (Although His Personality Has Never Been First Rate, But He Is A True & Tough QB Football Player), but we shall see?
