During a three or four minute stretch in the second half, Pitt played some good D and had four odd man breaks. The results:

1. Despite having two open teammates, Austin goes for the hero slam. Result- he gets fouled and makes one of two. Result-1 point

2. Lowe leads a three on two break. He gets in the air at the basket and decides to drop it off to an unsuspecting Leggett. Ball goes off Leggett out of bounds Result- 0 points

3. Cumming leads a three on two break. Although no one has challenged the ball, he decides to pass to the left wing and throws the ball away. Result- 0 points

4. Lowe lead a three on one break. Despite shooting 0-6 from three to this point, he decides that it is a good time to pull up and shoot another. Result- 0 points

Good teams score at least 8 points in that sequence. Pitt scores one. And wonders why they lose close games.

P.S. I didn't even mention the two missed bunnies in the last two minutes.
