Didn't want this to get buried in the super league thread. Most people don't know that this exists. People are always surprised when I ask them why they think that the NFL doesn't play on Fridays and Saturdays. They think it is a good will gesture from the NFL to not compete with HS and Colleges. It isn't. These owners are not nice like that.
Given the discussion of the NCAA seemingly moving towards a super league of paid players, I feel that this law is potentially significant.
I'm not an attorney, but I would guess said super league would create a case for the NFL to be allowed to have their restrictions on the days of the week that they can play lifted. Does the super league really want that?
