Just watched an interview with one of the Russians named in the Steele dossier and his attorney.

He is suing Buzzfeed for slander.

States that NO ONE, including Bob Mueller, in law enforcement, has contacted him at all to verify anything in the dossier even though he is named prominently in the dossier.

Stated he will testify under oath but no one is interested ?

How can we be coming up on 1 1/2 years of a Mueller investigation supposedly started on a dossier that Comey briefed Trump on the salacious nature of it to give CNN their hook, and no one on Muellers team wants to talk to a willing witness named in it ?

Why? Because they already know the dossier is bogus.

Truly amazing that no mainstream reporter or outlet is covering this. The corruption involved here is unparalleled in our country's past governance. Where are today's Woodward and Bernstein? There has been more coverage giving to the shooting of local rapper WAPO than any of this corruption. Like children they seem to be hoping that if they close their eyes and ignore it, it will all go away.

Just read, and I've no second source to back this right now, that Strzoc had an "out of scope" polygraph in 2016.

That is correct - it was raised at last week's hearings

https://www.emptywheel.net/2018/06/29/peter-strzoks-out-of-scope-polygraph/

Aha. Follow me here. So the longer Mueller keeps investigating, the longer these guys can continually claim that they can not comment on a current investigation.

Its all coming together as far as that goes.
As soon as Mueller ends, they have no more excuses to stonewall at hearings or withhold documents.

Ok,makes sense. Pretty sure thats part of it.

Yeah according to that Wray/Collins exchange there were more.
How does this go on in this country?

How can Rosenstein admit he did not read a FISA warrant targeting a member of a Presidential campaign? He merely accepted his briefing from subordinates and the news of that gets for the most part, ignored.

Yeah, Gaetz really hit the nail on the head on that not reading the FISA app line of questioning.
I did see that part. I can promise you that when i had my company i didnt sign shit without reading it,ESPECIALLY if it had potential legal implications which many times it did.
I wasn't a *shove it under my nose and I'll sign it* type of person at any point in my life, including now.

I believe he was legally required to read it.

I believe Hillary and her associates signed a legal document affirming they had received and understood training on the proper ways to handle classified material. That training was clearly ignored.

Like many things in this country today, that was also treated as meaningless.

Things need to change.

Makes sense. The fact he wouldn't even LIE to say yes gives me a little chuckle. Good for him at least for that.

I could very well envision a circumstance where he just said yes i did, prove that i didnt and good luck with that lol

I did read something somewhere that Rosenstein has been very effective in stopping the DOJ leaks and referring people to their OPR.
Not trying to cut him slack on the other stuff but it at least seems he's been effective at something while there.

Yeah- There is a train of thought in corners of the internet that Rosenstein is actually working with Horowitz and Huber to expose all the corruption in the DOJ/FBI and the rest of the Obama apparatus.

At this time, I am not a part of that corner.

I believe both Rosenstein and Wray are more interested in protecting the image and reputations of the organizations they head than FULLY exposing all the corruption that occurred.

Oh,no, im not going that far lol. I haven't seen anything to make me think he's working with Undercover Huber or anyone else at this point but you dont know what you don't know of course.

Yeah. Im disappointed in Wray. This was a great chance to say, look at me, im not doing like the last guy, here's what we are doing.

Now i will say, even Goodlatte has mentioned things really picking up now as far as doc production since Lausch came on.

So we've got a few more days until the resolution expires. We'll see what happens.

Trump obviously doesn't want to order them released because of politics and i get it but in the end, ordering docs released to Congress or the White House counsel are 2 hugely different things.

I am not endorsing the idea but I believe Trump (with what is already publically known) could get away with firing both Rosenstein and Mueller.

It is smart (if possible) to wait for the IG FISA report or more documents to Congress. Those items could provide more ammunition to support those actions.

I don't see any moves before mid-terms honestly, it would give Dems what might be a legitimate beef in their minds.

Once we get to 2 months before mid-terms if we don't hear something from Mueller by then, it probably won't happen until afterwards. Maybe the IG report on FISA because those involved aren't really politicians per se.

The DOJ has kind of an unwritten rule about not announcing those types of things close to an election.

Comey situation aside but he wasn't DOJ and as the IG report pointed out, was not one to follow protocol and was basically a maverick run amok.

Pretty big news about General Flynn today:

Likely question will be why did the Special Counsel secure a plea deal with Flynn in December 2017 and is still not ready for sentencing yet.

Sua Sponte means the judge made this decision on his own, without a motion from either party. That's not very common.

General Flynn being in attendance this time at the hearing is curious. They may be considering the very real possibilty that some sort of relief may be granted.

Mueller adding more prosectors up to 17.
Wasn't prepared for so many of the accused not willing to get it jammed up their asses without a fight.

More Dems ? We shall see.

More exchanges between the lovebirds, now emails starting to be released.

"In one email exchange with the subject line "Crossfire FISA," Strzok and Lisa Page discussed talking points to get then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to persuade a high-ranking DOJ official to sign off on the warrant.

"Crossfire Hurricane" was one of the code names for four separate investigations the FBI conducted related to Russia matters in the 2016 election.

"At a minimum, that keeps the hurry the F up pressure on him," Strzok emailed Lisa Page on Oct. 14, 2016, less than four weeks before Election Day.

Four days later the same team was emailing about rushing to get approval for another FISA warrant for another Russia-related investigation code-named "Dragon."

"Still an expedite?" one of the emails beckoned, as the FBI tried to meet the requirements of a process known as a Woods review before a FISA warrant can be approved by the courts.
"Any idea what time he can have it woods-ed by?" Strzok asked Lisa Page. "I know it's not going to matter because DOJ is going to take the time DOJ wants to take. I just don't want this waiting on us at all."

Who here can possibly justify Paul Manafort being in solitary confinement 23 hours a day before he's even tried ?
Herr Mueller.
Ridiculous.

This has to be starting to get embarrassing for Mueller and is team of "Never Trumpers". The strategy of throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks is tiresome and gaining no traction. At this point I would imagine Mueller would almost welcome being fired to save himself further embarrassment.

These judges are on to the nonsense.
This case, and the judge that ripped into Mueller for pulling the nonsense about Mueller not being interested at all in Manafort, only using him to try to get Trump.

Judge telling Flynn to show up for his Sua Sponte hearing Monday because the judge is tired of Mueller delaying a pre-sentencing probation report necessary to continue since Flynn pleaded guilty some 9 or so months ago.

The time former Clinton Foundation attorney Jeannie Rhea, now Mueller attorney (no conflict there of course) indicted a company that didn't even exist with the other 2 companies and 13 Russians that will never see US soil that Mueller indicted not expecting them to fight back.
Mueller tried to delay that too but the judge said too bad, if you weren't prepared to go to trial you shouldn't have indicted them then.
The judge granted the plaintiff request for a speedy trial. Plaintiff wanted social media records for discovery. Got boxes of Facebook posts IN RUSSIAN, never translated lmfao.

So Mueller has no idea what these Facebook posts even say, but they are his evidence to prosecute the 13 Russians and 3 Russian companies.

Mueller never expected them to fight the charges so he indicted them to try to show he was doing something.

Look how many clueless assclowns here that bring up *the 13 Russia indictments *, unaware that there's a very good chance the indictments are vacated if Mueller isn't ready in a few weeks.

I brought this up a few weeks ago about the AP giving Muellers team info on Manaforts storage space in exchange for info.
Looks like that might be getting some legs.
The FBI may have broken the law (again) by sharing Grand Jury info.

Talk about a "Den of Vipers". It is sad to see a once proud organization like the FBI be sullied by a minority put into position of authority. The vast majority of field agents have to be more anxious than Trump to see this swamp drained and the FBI restored.
