There does not seem to be

20+ touches per game? What? If he is getting 20+ touches per game, he is your starting every down back.

Ollison avg’d 15 carries a gsme last year, Hall avgd 10. You give carter 20 touches a game, you’d be running the offense thru him.

How about we come back down to earth and optimistically say, 5 touches per game. Even that is a lot.
Guys like Warrick Dunn or Eric Metcalf got 20 carries. They were Heisman Trophy candidates. I'd guess even if Carter succeeds beyond our wildest dreams, he'd still be a change of pace scatback. Maybe he'd get 5 to 10 touches.

Hard to expect a guy who mostly played defense in high school to morph into a featured RB.

Hey, it could happen. Whipple's system might fit him a lot better than Watson's. But, the coaches last Fall were pretty clear he was more quick than fast.

I’ll take quick over fast every day of the week. Quick gets you on the highlight reel. Quick gets you from scout team to carries against duke and Virginia.

I just commented how 20 touches a game is absurd.

We already know he's quick. Agree, Quick gets you some carries. Breakaway speed could get you that 20 carries per game and a featured back role.
