Imagine how many heavy load trucks it'd take to move the Cathedral down there... wouldn't that be fun to watch.

The don't need to build a stadium IN Oakland, they just need to build a MAGLEV from Oakland to wherever it is. Why doesn't anyone get this?
a light rail system to Oakland has been discussed. link below. proposed costs are 7.25 billion dollars.. I think we should raise this ourselves, I got $10 bucks i'll throw in. I'll leave it up to the rest of you to com up with the 7,249,999,990 dollars

You gonna stick with this joke for awhile, huh? These developers must be crazy to invest this kind of money in Oakland??!!
Terry Smith and Miles Sanders mom both told me Oakland was the worst ghetto in PA!!
You gonna stick with this joke for awhile, huh?
If it works as well for Oakland as it did for North Haverbrook, well...
They built a world class monorail there tooIf Brockway can build an on-campus stadium, why can't Pitt?
i saw a 2.5 billion dollar price tag to extend tee up 5th avenue. that was awhile ago so that price estimate is probably irrelevant. outside of a new bus route, we aren't getting any new rail system to Oakland. you start talking billions, it goes out the window.. you cant build a freakin tent in this city without getting into 7 figures..7b would be for 200 miles of new track for the entire region. Oakland would be cheap in comparison, and estimates are available via Google from before the Rooneys buried that plan in favor of the Northshore connector.
I'll see Jesus before and Oakland stadium.

Nope, but people will be able to BRT/T it (students for free) from the Cathedral directly to Heinz Gate C and back whenever they want. I'm thinking Pitt admin doesn't see an issue. I'll see Jesus before and Oakland stadium.
Stiff competition for Jesus.
Ironically it looks like that guy is playing for Pittsburg State (Kansas). Which has its own stadium, of course.
They were also smart enough to not dump the Script!Ironically it looks like that guy is playing for Pittsburg State (Kansas). Which has its own stadium, of course.
Nope. If we're packing up and moving east, I want our own stadium! After all, that's the main reason for the move, right?Maybe they can build a monorail from Johnstown to Gate C?
he's doing something to 5th avenue with regards to a bike lane. story was on the news last night, I turned it off before I saw the details..Better execute the move before Peduto converts all the streets to bike lanes.
It may take them 50+ years to fix an interstate, but they sure can pump out those bike lanes.he's doing something to 5th avenue with regards to a bike lane. story was on the news last night, I turned it off before I saw the details..
I live in south park, they repaved and did bike lanes on Corrigan (Main stretch thru the park) in about 72 hours. you don't involve PennDOT , it's amazing what you can accomplish..It may take them 50+ years to fix an interstate, but they sure can pump out those bike lanes.

Yes. The Nit Mayor knows there are only about 15 people who ride bikes in the city (being part of a first-world nation, as we are). But its a way to stick it up the tails and make the lives miserable of commuters who (like Pitt) don't "pay their fair share".he's doing something to 5th avenue with regards to a bike lane. story was on the news last night, I turned it off before I saw the details..
I pity anyone who has to drive into Oakland on a daily basis. not so much students but any grown adult. that would suck. I have mixed feelings on bike lanes. the one in south park irritates me cause im on that stretch everyday but oh well, if it gets more people out exercising, good for all I guess. What irritates me is now runners are running on the bike lane on Corrigan in south park. please don't ask why that bugs me but it does.Yes. Running in a bike lane is like doing bicep curls in a squat rack.I pity anyone who has to drive into Oakland on a daily basis. not so much students but any grown adult. that would suck. some of these busier streets is insane. I see people doing it over in east liberty, on 5th, and it really isn't suprising that there is a fatality or two annually. sad but not surprising. if anything, im shocked there isn't more..Riding a bicycle on streets with cars is one of the dumber things a person can do. IMHO. It's crazier than riding a motorcycle on the street, and that's pretty crazy.
I ride a bicycle at least four days a week. I put it on the back of my car and drive a few miles to a dedicated bicycle / walking trail to do it safely.

That's a Bingo.....HAHAHAHAHA. You are using this? After reading that article, now I fully understand why Pitt is not moving forward with an on campus stadium. It's pretty damn expensive and a giant pain in the ass.
I agree! I don't know if the athletic department actually made the picture, I just found it on the internet one day. I actually tried to edit it and add 725 at the end but wasn't able to upload it, that's why I chose it to begin with!Hail, love your sig pic but the athletic department should update it and come out with one in Script and add Fitz and Donald. What say Ye?

Funny you mention that though because I've been trying to update it myself, though I'm not the best at that kind of stuff. However, I do like your sig and avatar as well. Believe both of them are from the last game @ Pitt Stadium? Good memories![]()
I'm in the same boat as you. Didn't think anything of the hill when I was younger. Three knee surgeries later, and I have a different take on itI think they are from the last game, but like you I just googled Pitt Stadium and liked the picture. Those were good memories. I was younger and quite a few pounds lighter so Cardiac Hill was never a problem for me and finding parking in someone's driveway a few blocks away was like a game to me.
