Not Bub, not Hinson. Yea, they might have been the biggest reason we lost today, neither played well, but they are both very good players.
Certainly not Leggett, who is the sort of hard working bowling ball this team really needs.
But:
1) Twins. They both get pushed around so bad. They play like there are 6’0, not 7’0.
2) Austin. He’s had completely wide open shots all year. Is he really this bad? Because if he is, he’s essentially the exact same player as Jeffers, and not in a good way.
3) Roster Depth. You felt it today. With Kante and Dior, you would have a bruiser, a creator. We have neither. And Bub and Hinson, you are just worried they are both going to get worn down.
4) Federiko’s offense/FT shooting…not much going on there, however, he’s still a good defender and at least disrupts the other team. The twins, it’s an assembly line of layups.
Pitt lost this game in the first half. Jeff shouldn’t have sat Bub and Blake together for so long, and we had 3-4 possessions when GDG was on the court where they just got too many layups.
Beat OREGON St and this sort of gets forgotten. We can’t go 0-4 in Brooklyn two straight years
