Thats bat shit crazy! With the ACC and BIg 12 down and each likely to get only 4 or 5 teams in, there should be extra room for some mid-majors in this years tournament. We might have some of the biggest upsets ever, and some strangers making there way too the final 4! I am comforted knowing there will be no North Carolina this year!
This is the weakest at the top college hoops has been in my memory. Should make for a very interesting March.

There's no player hyped like Zion was last year, so no single player to look forward to seeing in the tournament.

Well, not really. Evansville is #292 this year according to Pomeroy. Two years ago we were #227.
It would probably have been a close game.
Would it be 2017 Peace for Pitt one half and 2019 Peace for Evansville the other? That could be the difference.
Are you kidding? The NCAA tourney, at least as as whole, never disappoints. Of course it's going to be great.
Evansville’s futility comes with an asterisk.
They had the makings of a decent team this year until head coach Walter McCarty was canned after sexual assault allegations. After that Evansville went into the tank massively, there were reports of widespread dissent in the locker room and quite honestly some nights they showed up totally unprepared to play.
Well Stallings 0-18 team should also come with an asterisk right? I mean he slept during recruiting visits, he argued with opposing fans, he cursed at Ryan Luther I remember 1 game, etc... he was a disgrace.
