Miami chopped Pitt up today when it matteredMiami offense still hasn't legitimately gotten into the endzone yet, and Chris Blewitt lived up to his surname.
Sorry, the whole game "matters". That's nonsense.Miami chopped Pitt up today when it mattered
But blewit is was terrible
After a couple of bad calls or no calls by the refs and 2 bad reviews, the first Miami td ball never got to end zone 2nd td receiver stepped on the white in the end zone, Pitt missed a lot of tackles on and behind the line of scrimmage, looked like they were playing touch football with the Miami QB and some of the running backs and some bad play calling, all in all the season was a successful one, no matter what some of you thinkMiami offense still hasn't legitimately gotten into the endzone yet, and Chris Blewitt lived up to his surname.
A lot of missed tackles and poor pass defense, this loss was a combined team effortBlewitt couldn't have been any worse today, just awful.
With all that... our kicker sucked... and opposing kickers are now 24 for 25 against us.A lot of missed tackles and poor pass defense, this loss was a combined team effort
But we got the stop and held them to 3. Then we went 3 and out and they came back out and scored in 2 plays. That was the killer. And yes, for the last time, that secomd TD was a legit TD. All these armchair refs can't seem to notice on multiple replays that the receiver's trail foot was already on the ground while he had possession, even if the lead foot was out-which it wasn't. The turf divot mark they showed was also completely in bounds, with the divot itself laying just out of bounds. some of our board experts seem to believe the chunks of turf on the OB side was actually a mark in the ground.Think of the Peterman INT after the initial Miami score. That's the play that dictated the way today's game went
The wind was mild and it didn't impact Miami's kicker at all.I wouldn't be so hard on Blewitt. Both of those were long kicks and one hit the upright. The wind was blowing pretty hard (it appeared from TV) on the second one and it looked like it influenced the kick. He didn't win the game, but he didn't lose it either.
To be Fair, I have found UPitt'89 to be spot on his observation and respect his FB knowledge. The wind was mild and it didn't impact Miami's kicker at all.
It was a Blewitt fail today. His team needed him, especially in the fourth, and he BLEWITT.
Our kicker didn't kill us, it was a combined effort, poor tackling at the line of scrimmage and behind it, it looked like touch football, they tabbed the QB a number of times, and if our offense wasnt Lacking, we wouldn't had to have settled for field goals tries, just was not a well played game. Miami 2 touch downs both reviewed and both , should have been overturned, the first td ball never made the goal line and the second, the receivers foot hit the ob white in the end zone. So don't blame blewett, like the loss was his faultWith all that... our kicker sucked... and opposing kickers are now 24 for 25 against us.
It is so deflating when your kicker kills you like that.
