This is a Two Star player???

Dominate performance... my favorite part was around the 1:35 mark when the big o-lineman #66 takes off with all his might to lead block and a split second later, he looks around to find Ffrench has already blown past him and is 20 yards downfield.

This is no way a knock on him, he looks solid.

But, my AA junior high team tackled better than this Kennedy team.

I mean, were they under the impression is was a touch game?

Recruits should be graded on their play at pitt not their high school highlight film. I have yet to see a highlight film not look impressive

The point is, that someone evaluates high school players. They base most of their evaluation on film. Based on the film, I question the wisdom of the two star ranking. That's it. Period. We all know that it doesn't mean anything when you get to the college level.

I could put together a highlight tape that makes me look like a PGA golfer but I can't beak 90 on a good day. This is why coaches don't watch highlight tapes. They are worthless. They don't show the times they drop passes, miss blocks, miss the hole ect. Most coaches won't offer until they see at least two full game tapes. To properly evaluate a kid you most see a full game or two, know his measurable and the competition. There are many examples of kids who in high school who dominate but you know due to size or speed they don't project at the college level.

Well this is true..however, keep in mind this is a highlight film of ONE GAME, not a whole season. That's what makes it attention grabbing.

I think the issue with Ffrench is the competition. Junior highlights had him running through a bunch of smurfs. The players in this highlight didn't look much bigger.

Exactly. Which is why it is always amusing when someone posts some highlight clip of a guy and acts like the guy is obviously a great player because clearly that's what the clips show. As if someone is going to put out a "lowlights" clip with all the passes they dropped and tackles they missed.

I'd say that all these prospect films are worthless, but I think that would still give them too much credit.
