That was my favorite. We called a TO and ran no play. We ended up with a bad shot that even the announcer called out? Where's the screens?
In my years involved in youth sports, I've noticed there's 2 kinds of coaches (granted most of these are volunteer dads like myself but we're involved with some paid coaches too):
- a real "coach"
- a guy who tells you what drills to do and makes lineups
What I mean is that I think Capel loves basketball. He loves leading a program but he isnt a real "coach." He's a guy who sets up drills, makes lineups, etc. He doesn't add any value in terms of making players or teams better by finding ways to get the most out of teams/players. In short, he is basically like that WPIAL gym teacher coach type.
