I'll tell you why. This is a young team. They are still learning and growing. Capel has done a remarkable job already. I believe they'll learn from this and be better because of it. I watched most of the game online and felt that for long periods their heart wasn't really in it. Maybe they felt that they were playing a 2-4 team and they didn't have to play hard for a full 60 minutes.
I was very impressed how they fought back from 12 down with like 4-5 minutes to go and had a great chance to win. Their defense stepped up huge late. They put that effort in the whole game and we win by double digits easy.
So yeah does it suck they lost? Of course it does. But I believe Coach Capel will use this game as a teachable moment and they will be better. And I still think they beat West Virginia.
