Get a lifeReflecting that Steel Town Tough, Blue Collar work ethic I am sure. Which is like 40 years past its due. Spoiled, entitled babies around here nowadays. Hey, let's all go shoot some heroin.
Why are we shooting heroin?Reflecting that Steel Town Tough, Blue Collar work ethic I am sure. Which is like 40 years past its due. Spoiled, entitled babies around here nowadays. Hey, let's all go shoot some heroin.
You make a point. I get the sense that players, families, coaches, etc in the WPIAL feel entitled to an offer from Pitt, but they look at the offer as the floor, not the ceiling.Reflecting that Steel Town Tough, Blue Collar work ethic I am sure. I can agree with this. All you have to do is look west to the Ohio Valley for an example. That area used to pump out many D1 players each year, and now they're lucky to have one or two a year... and the one they had this year happened to commit to Pitt. Talent pool is slowly starting to shrink. You make a point. IMO, WPIAL football is vastly overrated. First, it encompasses such a large area that by sheer numbers it will produce some quality. But ratio wise, it's subpar to more near areas like southwest OHIO, northeast and central Ohio.
The D 1 scholarship numbers support that.
Meanwhile, players from USC, FOX are bringing Pitt down with these suspensions.
The time is coming soon where the WPIAL will have half the number of players and the guys who genuinely were alive to see Namath play will be dead.
Maybe then, the WPIAL will have a reputation consistent with reality...not what happened in the mid 60s.
Stop targeting WPIAL players!!!!all WPIAL players. What you say about that?
I'd be surprised if this was true, especially after a narduzzi statement on it. I hope to heck to be wrong though.Suspensions hopefully can be appealed or stayed or mitigated or whatever it takes to get them off the books and served. A WPIAL insider hinting this is all possible and nothing set in stone and all players will likely be in PSU game. Jordan Whitehead is an All American if I recall.
Just speculation from an insider. Narduzzi has to acknowledge the situation but he will hopefully get it handled internally if possible. I don't know the details. They are keeping it tight lipped. Apparently HCPN was able to get Whiteheads suspension down from 6 games to 3 games. Sounds like this isn't a Pitt suspension but in the NCAA hands and you know how inept they are.
So how can it go from Duzz bailing him out of missing half the season to all of it being up in the air? Like vegasgreed said, Whitehead has already been suspended 3 times. The NCAA wouldn't be easy on him.Just speculation from an insider. Narduzzi has to acknowledge the situation but he will hopefully get it handled internally if possible. I don't know the details.
