Thoughts about offensive line and defensive lines

I was really down on this unit early but there are encouraging aspects of this unit. The whole unit, except Ulizio, returns next year. Hargrove and Morrissey are Juniors. Warren, Houy, Drake, Drexel and Van Lynn are all sophomores. We have some talented freshman and two decent tackle recruits verbally committed. A group that grows together plays well together.

The defensive line currently is starting one senior Amir Watts. Weaver and Camp could potentially play another year. Jones is a junior. Twyman and Alexandre are sophmores. Morgan, Green, Danielson, Baldonado, Mimes and Bentley are all freshman

I really like what Narduzzi has done with recruiting the trenches. What we are seeing can potentially be here the next two years. I am bullish on PITT

I think our DL played very physical and it took it's toll on the UCF OL! UCF is used to being up by whatever and teams packing it in but they got beat up Saturday night!!!

Ulizio hasn't played well and at least half of the rushing yards are coming from QB's taking off when pass pro breaks down. The o-line has been just good enough to win two games so far but the offense won't put together sustained drives consistently until the running game improves. It's going to cost them another game at some point but imagine what could have been in the first four games if Pitt could run the ball.

The DL has been outstanding.
