1) Resilience is and has been the defining quality of this Pitt team.
2) The growth from UVA to the Duke game has been a roller coaster but mostly good progress. Would love to see more one cut power running, backs hitting the hole and exploding. Maybe that’s Vincent Davis once he gets up to 205 lbs, he could be an Amos Zereoue type.
3) I just can’t believe that Michael Salahuddin couldn’t be getting reps right now. Are the coaches that cold in their approach or was this young man’s ego that fragile? Either way, I believe we/he missed an opportunity as he would probably be coming into form right now when we needed him.
4) Pitt’s offensive talent appears to be 1 to 2 years behind the defensive talent. We’re so much more adept at recruiting and development on the defensive side of the ball. I see several defensive players that look like they should play on Sunday, I can’t say the same on offense. We have some nice college players on offense but we’re still pretty avg on talent.
5) Kenny looks so much more comfortable and senses the pressure much better. He wants to fire over the middle too often but he’s a tough college QB.
Assuming we can get healthy over the bye, I think we’re in position to win 8 to 10 games. Would love to see Rashad Wheeler lead blocking more power scheme going forward and for the Oline to get a little nastiness up front.
