Thoughts of Kinnick Pitt fans?

You probably dug Chapel Hill, then.

I enjoy Chapel Hill. In fact, that is where I stayed the last time we played Duke. This year I am going to stay in Durham, and hope I do not regret the change in venue. For me on an away football weekend, I'm not looking for museums or tourist attractions...just a good hotel, great bars and restaurants and a lively college atmosphere. Chapel Hill has that in spades, as does Iowa City. I'd blow my brains out if forced to live in either place...but for a college football weekend...lots of fun! Hail to Pitt!

Durham is a more happening place than Chapel Hill the past few years. Not as a college experience..but, as a small city with lots of great bars and restaurants.

I have to admit Souf, we were a bit let down when we visited Chapel Hill last year. It is a beautiful campus, but not much to do, at all. But then maybe that is unfair since we were staying in Raleigh and didn't spend much time on campus.
Guess it depends on what you're looking for.
lots of Bars, great restaurants, micro-brews, and sight-seeing if you're looking for it.

Not sure what people are expecting to find...but, those are the kinds of things we check out when travelling.

If you're looking for some big tailgaiting scene...you need to be more rural for that.

I'm not much for going out to clubs and those types of things. But, like most places..you have to look for what you want...and can't expect it to come to your door to entertain you.

But, he wished they all could be California girlz.........

Lots of farmer's daughters in Kinnick...with a "something for everyone" spectrum, so nothing to complain about.

I believe Mike Love actually wrote the lyrics, but the music is all Brian. If the songs are about cars, beaches or high school, you can be pretty sure Love wrote the lyrics.

With all due respect to the Beach Boys, reading these last few posts the only song in my head is, "You don't have to be lonely with Farmer's Only dot com.......".

(As an aside, if you are a Beach Boys fan, rent "Love and Mercy". It's about Brian Wilson specifically and very well done.)

Somewhat of a savant when it came to music but one really strange dude I have seen them multiple times over the years.Still enjoy.
