To be quite frank I am feeling a little let down. Semi anticlimactic with the early signing period. The venue at Heinz flat out sucks with a long super narrow seating area. The TVs are throwbacks to a Super 8 motel. Just not feeling it this year and I go back to the days with Walt at Alumni Hall. Like most donor events they always half ass it.

The early signing period took all the excitement out of February LOI Day and probably the event. However, this is a good thing. Far, far fewer decommitments and re-recruiting going on. It was getting out of control. As I've said, there shouldn't be any signing period. If you know where you want to go in the summer, sign. If you're unsure, dont sign

I love the event, I never hear anything negative.

The set up stinks. You're right, very narrow.
The early signing day hasn't changed any of the excitement for me. You're still going to hear from the coaches.

I wish they'd tell more recruiting stories. Some of them are very generic when they get up there.

Maybe they should have two events. One on the early day and one on traditional LOI day. The goal of these days is to get the fan base all revved up and make ticket sales easier. So why not have two days?

I might argue that those attending this event are going to buy tickets anyway, so why have it at all?

Probably could use some tarps to spruce things up.

If not for this event, PGT Trucking would never have become my favorite trucking company, despite never needing to purchase trucking services in my life. They bought us a lot of Jack Daniels over the past couple of year as sponsors of the open bar.

Kidding aside, I enjoy it every year and the venue is fine. Growing crowds each year are a good problem.

They should hold it at the south side facility and show off their facilities.

I’m a season ticket holder and donor and received nothing from the university that an event was taking place

I really don't think the December Signing Day does anything to this event, does it? The appeal of the event has always been hearing the coaches talk about the recruits, right? That's still going to be the big draw. It's not like there were ever recruiting surprises or announcements at this event - by the time everybody gets together at Heinz Field, all the recruits have been announced and everyone is signed. It's more about hearing the coaches talk than any climactic announcement.

Message should have gone to the email linked to your ticket account within the past 2 days. Check your spam/promotions folders... I found mine there. In past years, there was postcard mailer that would follow the emails, but I haven't seen it yet.

Thank You, but I did not receive any notification about this event

The LOI is a much needed “fix” of Pitt football - a bridge to spring ball.

I’m thinking we’re going to see a lot of highlights from the Miami game... “Accentuate the positive...”

Go Pitt.

Can someone interprete the spelling of what appears to be Pittsburgh on that link?

Get there early if you don't like the narrow seating. I like talking to the coaches and seeing long time season ticket holders. Hearing each coach speak about RECRUITS is great. Sit up front .
