(My Apologies to the movie with similar title.)

*Why does ANYONE give a crap about what the Fan and Vuk and Dunlap are saying?

Stallings is gone. Almost everyone knew it should happen and was going to happen. Sooner is better than later.

Pitt paid him a LOT of money for a lousy job of coaching and is paying him a lot more money to stop coaching.

Anyone who is a Pitt fan cannot be upset that Pitt is trying to save some money. Clearly Stallings did not put any extra effort into his job to deserve any more compensation than the minimum Pitt can get away with paying him. It would be difficult to do a worse job.

The Pittsburgh sports media is trying to create controversy and draw ratings. That is their job. They have proven they know very little regarding the topics that they prattle on about.

*Didn't we learn ANYTHING from their coverage of the Sean Miller "offer" and the "Search" for Dixon's replacement two years ago?

It became obvious that virtually every media figure in town knew absolutely nothing about what they were reporting. Richie stuck to his story that Miller was meeting in Oakland even after pictures were tweeted of Sean strolling in Tucson. Multiple coaches have since contradicted reports that "Nobody but Stallings was interested." It was a farce.

*Why do we think ANYTHING will be different THIS time?

Dunlap and Poni have changed their stories every day, sometimes several times each day. Vuk is ALWAYS ready and willing to give anyone with a grievance against any Pittsburgh sports institution a platform to rant. Other than the usual contingent of willing self-flagellators in our fanbase, it seems stranger than usual that anybody should give them any credence. Neither credibility nor consistency are hallmarks of local sports journalism. Well, except consistent criticism.

Stallings is gone.
Nobody knows exactly what was said and never will.
There will probably be a lawsuit.
Lawyers will probably decide who gets what.
We will probabably never know the exact results.
Usually a compromise results between the positions both sides want.

"Nothing to see here. " Let's move on.
