TIME TO START WILSON, ENOUGH ALREADY

Wilson sucks even more. He can't defend and he can't run the offense. Let's go really big and let Jamel run point. Can't be any worse, although we'd never stop the other PG.
We lost by 20 and Robinson didn't score a single point. Wilson doesn't suck, he is young and raw. Let him start because we are still losing by 20 anyways against good teams playing Robinson.
Artis at that point and run a 2-3 Zone. Put ANO or Maia in the back of the zone.
I don't believe Wilson will ever be the starting PG here and I don't believe he can be a starting shooting guard either. I want Kithcart to start from day 1.
Totally agree , Wilson needs improvement pretty much everywhere in his game , he's not really good at anything right now and his ball handling is awful ..as well as his defense .. Kitchcart can't get here soon enough .. FYI Kitchcart is already a better defender than anyone on our roster right now

ROFLMAO. Some 3-star guard recruited by Knight/Dixon is going to be the great savior of the program.
I can't say I agree. I'd like to see if Wilson can develop into the kind of 2 that Brad Wanamaker was.
If that is the case, Dixon is done. Very soon. If Wilson doesn't turn into a starter, Dixon's recruiting just becomes that much worse. He honestly can't afford for Wilson not to become a star.
As most noted, Wilson is not a P5 PG.
He can, however, be a Wannamaker type guard.
People want to think he is the answer there, the thought of a taller PG is enticing, but he just is not a lead guard at this level.
As desperate as it may be, Kithkart IS the great hope. I think JD might have caught lightning in a bottle with him, and we had all better hope so.
JROb is a death by a thousand cuts. He won't make a lot of bad mistakes, because he is so darn conservative and plays so scared, so it becomes easy for JD to lean on him, because he is like him in a lot of ways.
But, the whole team reflects his lack of heart and toughness ... And plays scared, like him.
Not saying he is ALL the problems, not having, literally ANY post presence isn't his fault.
But, the team reflects its PG ...

Wilson's very rough around the edges. Doesn't really have the handle or savvy for PG and doesn't have the shot for a 2. He's a typical Dixon guard-he has a little of this and a little of that but he's got pretty big holes in his game at present. He could end of being a pretty good player or he could end up as Newkirk/Chris Jones II.
Coming from the guy who two weeks ago was on the Board shouting about Robinson's PPG and how that average was an affirmation of what a great job he was doing. Robinson's been a problem off and on for 3 years and has consistently disappeared in conference play against the best teams. As for Wilson, he's done nothing to suggest hew will be able to handle the PG position next year. As a matter of fact, he has done more to show that he won't. He looks to be another typical Dixon guard-not good enough of a handle or feel for the game to play the point and not enough of a shot to handle the 2.
Um...if you're talking about Kithcart the dude is a 4 star recruit now and is putting up killer stats right now so just look under his "thread" that was created on this board.
He is no bum off the street, & is a good quality recruit.

What is with this Kithcart? A 3-star from NC. If he was any good... *any* good... UNC, Duke, NC State, Wake would have been all over him. They weren't. Folks watch a couple youtube highlight videos and... he's the greatest PG ever. He's not even a PG. He's a combo guard. Holy crap.

Can he dribble the ball around the perimeter for 20 secs and launch an off-balance 3 as the shot clock expires?
Under token pressure can he get the offense started while letting 15 secs expire of said shot clock?
Can he pass the ball around the perimeter?
You answer 'yes' to these questions... then you ARE a PG.
