at some point. NYC's most famous deli on 7th just north of Times Square, and it's closing on 12/31 after 80 years and it really is worth checking off your list. A genuine piece of NYC history. Pretty much every famous person on earth has eaten there between 1937 and now. Best pastrami you'll ever have.

Funny....we went there in 2007....corned beef was awful, couldn't get them to put coleslaw on the sammich. Maybe we had a bad day...but I've warned folks away from it since.

Last time i was there was about 12 years ago and I had an excellent experience. Never had the corned beef--on the advice of others, I went with the pastrami, which was lights out. For your basic Irish goy, I am pretty well versed in Jewish deli cuisine, so I think I'm qualified enough to critique it. But, again, that was 12 years ago.

Now if you want some righteous corned beef, try Slyman's Deli in downtown Cleveland.

I'll check it with kid #3. She's been in Lebrontown for almost 20 years....still a Panther & Stillers fan.
