The Citadel guard Jason Roche has been talking to Pitt since he went into the portal last week, and the 6'5" transfer will have a Zoom call with the staff tomorrow (Thursday). Roche would be a good fit for Pitt: he averaged 13.2 points per game this season, shot 40.1% from the floor and 39.7% from three (he was also a 90.9% free throw shooter). In The Citadel's season-opening win over Pitt at the Petersen Events Center, Roche scored a game-high 27 points and hit 8-of-14 three-pointers (57.1%).
Roche is also looking to hold Zoom calls with Missouri and Texas A&M in the near future. The current recruiting period ends tomorrow; a dead period - no in-person visits - starts on Friday and runs through April 7, after which point, recruits and transfers can start visiting schools again. At that point, Roche is hoping to take a few visits and Pitt is likely to get him on campus.
UPDATE: Roche will have his Zoom with Pitt on Friday.
