Exactly. Another functional big goes a long way to fixing this team’s weaknesses for next year. That and a veteran guard would be a nice start.

The way you do it is focus on players from winning programs, like hinson elliott and cummings all came from teams in the tourny this year, and burton came from texas tech after beard left

Someone like mylyjael poteat was last year would be a perfect addition. Had 2-3 years left. Made a high % of his shots and rebounded well in Limited time at rice b4 jumping to vtech

I’m waiting on Damian Dunn to enter. He walked in senior day, but has two years left. He would be a Burton replacement. Kind of looks like him, from NC and has two years to play. He is a little lankier than Burton, but can be your combo guard.

I would then look for a one year PG to be a bridge to Lowe, Carrington and Dior (giant wildcard).

You would also love to get a shooter like Elliott or a bigger wing who can rebound to hold it down til Barnes is ready.

Front court is pretty set. With Hugley leaving maybe they go after a freshman transfer who wouldn’t demand a lot of playing time right away.

That isnt always going to happen when you are the best team to offer these transfers. They have starting positions at the 2 and 3 available. Potentially a starting position underneath for a rebounder (please Javon Franklin enter the portal). We need to go toe to toe with the NC State, Wake's, Xavier's, Marquette's, etc and land those higher level transfers.

We need to go toe to toe with the NC State, Wake's, Xavier's, Marquette's, etc and land those higher level transfers.

They have a full time assistant/scout for the portal, so they get good evaluations and find the right fit. That helped them be “lucky” this year.

Javon Franklin would be so perfect because I think you start him underneath to play the 4 on offense with Hinson at the 3 but he's so athletic, you have him guard the 3 on offense while Hinson guards the 4.

Plays for youngstown st. Averaged 18 ppg 5 asg and 3.5 rpg and shot 43% from 3. He is from the class of 2018, so i believe he has his covid year left if he wants it. Hes from cleveland oh. Not sure if hes using it or if he is even transferring but hes a lower level pg who could make a jump up in competition
