When you’re a team that lacks in talent, you have to be very efficient in your offense and you have to do two things well in order to win, shoot it well and take care of the ball.

Two major differences from UNC to GT.

-We made a lot more shots against UNC. Five more 3s. When the ball goes thru the hoop, every team in America looks really good. When it doesn’t, they all look average to below average

-We turned the ball over wayyyy too much with no pressure on us. We turned it over actually 16 times against UNC vs 15 tonight but the ones against UNC were against heavy pressure with no time outs.

Moral of the story is this: the difference for us in a win vs. a loss is razor, razor, razor thin. If we shoot it well, we can beat/stay in any game. If we shoot it terribly and turn it over a lot like we did tonight and earlier in the year, we can lose to literally anyone. That’s what happens when you don’t have enough talent, 1-13. When the margin for error is that slim, you have to do a lot of things well. Tonight we did not do that.
