Many places. but not all
Another chink in the armour. Geno ain't getting younger.
Soon, they will fade into legend.
As for Hurley....who is he kidding?
I just don't see him being anything special and he is not a Jim Calhoun and they are not getting back into the Big East.

Our women's program is a disaster, and our men's program has just as many if not more issues. We are hardly in a position to cast any stones. We're not getting back into the Big East either.

Interesting perspective on Geno. It’s like every regular season game is the globe trotters against the Washington generals. He is almost never having to coach strategy in a close game.

Not to say he isn’t s terrific coach but his place among the basketball coaching God’s is suspect from an X and O stand point

Is it really suspect? Whenever I watch Uconn (admittedly, I didn't watch last night), their execution is exceptional, not just their talent. They break down zones and gert lay ups like Dixon did against Boheim.

I root against the Huskies women's team becuase they're too dominant for the sport, and prefer the WNBA which is more exciting in terms of talent, parity, and tempo, but Geno is a damn good coach. Three total losses over the last five seasons isn't from talent alone.

agree with this.

I did watch the game. UCONN is the better team. Notre Dame made one more shot.

It was one of the best games of the year btw....

UCONN isn’t a very good teamwise, their just so much better individually than everyone else, they struggle when you make them work as a team, they weren’t able to get to the rim last night which is their strength

I also watched the game. IMHO UCONN had the better players. However ND's players aren't exactly chopped liver. Their two guards were on fire, and for the most part ND outworked UCONN. It seemed to me that ND
wanted it more. They didn't back down and after UCONN tied it up, coming
from 5 points down to force overtime, I thought it was over for ND. Instead
ND came right back and took it to UCONN in the overtime. Even with all
that, UCONN almost pulled it out with a last second shot that missed.
As far as Geno's X's and O's....there was no issue IMO. In fact he used
his time outs judiciously and set up plays that actually got UCONN
back into it on at least three different occasions.
Again. kudos to ND, they didn't back down and ND's guard, Young, is as
good as anyone I've seen this year in women's college Bball. UCONN had
no answer for her...she'd easily be a starter for UCONN IMO.

Women's big time sports in general suck and aren't interesting because the same teams win all the time, it's somehow like they always have an all star team and they are Snow White and everyone else is dwarfs, like UConn or USWNT Soccer, it's good for the sport if UConn loses. IMO

Thanks I needed a laugh and that post did it!

Since 2010 UConn has lost 14 total games. Eight of them have been to Notre Dame.

There's a reason that Auriemma hates Muffet McGraw.

WNBA has excellent parity most years.

UCLA used to have a corner on talent too. But coaches retire.
Change is inevitable. Geno will retire or die:maybe both.
Gene Bartow, Larry Farmer. The body bags pile up after legends leave.
