Tough night. Close losses by Matthews and Ramani. No Harvey. Wetzel got caught in a 6 point move at the end of the 1st period and couldn't catch up.
I believe the announcer said the Heels have a 5 match winning streak now over the Panthers. Phillipi won 3-0. Stout won. Nino and Meech earned majors.

Harvey will be back. Taleb and Wentzel both got thrown to their back with under 5 seconds in the period which is hard to overcome.

Not sure how you can say that Rahmani lost a close match. He was down 8-2 after two periods and lost 10-4. Wentzel’s match was a killer.

Harvey didn’t wrestle. I guess he is injured.

Before the match, I posted on the Pitt Fans Facebook page that if Pitt had the choice, I would have started at 174. But, that was assuming Harvey would wrestle. I think he wins at 174 and we would have swept 174 through 285. That would have created a lot of momentum going into the lower weights with a 14-0 lead. Instead, it started at 125 and UNC clinched it with the win over Kernan at 174. Lot of credit to our three upper weights for wrestling so hard — and well. It shows again that wrestling is both a team and an individual sport.
