Many places. but not all
The comparison is legit.

Both lost the 1st game of the season to a traditionally good team that ultimately fell into medicrity.
USC lost its coach this year, VTech a year after beating OSU.
Both went (so far for UNC) undefeated thru the conference championship to a spot in the final 4.
Meyer is a proven commodity (OSU won it 30th straight conference regular season game on Saturday...hear that Franklin?).
IMO, Fedora is a damn fine coach and will be much sought after in the days following the season.

There is still plenty of football left to play, but IMHO, were Clemson and UNC to play next week, the Tar Hells would beat them handily.
I have not scoured the rankings and refuse to do so...13-9 taught me that lesson, but I find myself rooting for the Heels.
Pitt first of course, but UNC looks strong to me.

UNC is a legit top ten team right now.
They have an explosive offense, and their defense is just plain nasty!

I still think Clemson beats them, but it's going to be a close game.

Problem is, their schedule is so weak, even if they beat Clemson, they probably dont get in. They woukd have to beat Clemson by 30 or 40 to get "eye test" points.

If UNC played in the BIG, they would be in the playoff rankings. This perception that the BIG is such a great confidence, so their teams get a pass into the top of the rankings needs to end. Who exactly did OSU play last year to qualify that is any different than UNC. Heck, who has OSU beat this year?

They aren't NC caliber, and I don't like the OSU comparison because (1) UNC has nowhere near the team talent that OSU had; (2) there's only one Urban; and (3) UNC doesn't have a marquee win over a heavyweight opponent, their schedule is weak. I like the UNC offense, and I do like their chances to knock off Clemson in the ACC champ game. Bama is the big dog in the pound. Nobody's gonna stop them IMO. Too talented, too well coached. They wouldn't just beat a UNC, they would destroy them.

It's probably been said many times...but I still don't know how they lost to South Carolina.

Rooting for both NC and Iowa to run the table. It would be great to end the season with losses only to 3 playoff teams but that wold require rooting for ND. Can't bring myself to do that. Maybe if they were in a conference...

Three red zone interceptions, two of which (or maybe all 3... Can't remember) were in the end zone. Inexplicably not handing it off to your big back, who was having a great game, near the goal line (at least twice).

Iowa undefeated and not pleased...

Williams through two bad interceptions in the end zone when they could have been sure scores. That is how they lost. That and the first game, things happen. But if Williams only throws one pick, likely UNC wins.

That's it. It is like the WVU game in......was it 2002? How in the heck did we lose to them? We had 3 TO's inside the red zone.

I don't see it. They have 2 FCS teams on their schedule. They wouldn't have a top 25 win either unless Pitt wins out and they beat Clemson.

The team I see being the 2014 tOSU comparison this year is OU.
