I was rooting for Duke only because I'm not fond of UNC fans, but just glad the ACC has a team in the finals.

If UNC wins the NC, does that mean PITT gets some kind of trophy for having beaten UNC in Chapel Hill?????😂

Same thing can be said about UNC fans from my experience. I have multiple friends who root for UNC in basketball and PSU in football… nauseating.

The surprise of the '74 NCAAT was SC losing to Furman in the first round

That SC team watched "The French Connection" in some movie theater in downtown Pittsburgh the night before the Pitt game. Several SC players, being New Yorkers, got fired up by that movie.

It was a very talented SC team. Winters (9 years) and English (15 years) had successful NBA playing careers.

Good point. And I think the win over Clemson that year helped our football program. Not sure that the win over UNC this year will help the BB program as much. Our recent record vs UNC isn't that bad
