UNC reminded me of those old VT teams that used to come to Heinz. They had that caliber of athlete. Then, that got me thinking how much more talented those Walt teams were than this team Chryst built.

Very fair comment and you are correct, Fedora is an Offensive Coach and Coach Pat knows Defense, Coach Pat has to make sure he has a Great OC! Pitt should be scoring 30 Points a Game by now and could have won had they did that this year?

I give them credit, wasn't that long ago that UNC's D was among the worst in the nation. That unit we faced Thursday was very good, especially the secondary.

UNC did have Great Defensive Backs with great Dc too, but in the long run, Coach Pat should overcome and succeed there better, but Pitt Offense needs great OC too?

Although UNC played better, 4 to 5 plays decided the last game?

Well, good point, and UNC got themselves a great DC that will only be there a few years. I disagree that we SHOULD be scoring 30 a game now. I think we can, but we have Boyd... a line that has had issues and freshman running backs witha new QB.

The caveat being... I said the same about Pitt's defense last year, and this year looks far superior. I still think our OC had a trenemdously hard job after Conner went down week one... his whole game plan he worked on from day one went out the window and he had to start over. I think we are doing average... and that may be 'good' under the circumstance. But a GREAT OC could have better results... but I am holding off on that judgement.

1 or 2 more wins will be good for me! I always thought Pitt would of had a winning season if they had not lost to teams like MAC teams and/or Youngstown St. Winning the games Pitt is suppose to should give them 7-5 or 8-4 every year since 2011. I give Narduzzi 3-4 years to build the kind of teams he wants!

The fact that that's the only difference you saw between these two teams speaks volumes.

It was an athletic mismatch, you'd have to be blind not to recognize that. It's a testament to the attitude of our team and the job our HC is doing that we didn't get blown off the field after that disaster of a first half.

I know what you're saying about their athletes, but if Duzzi coached a team that gave up 215 rushing YPG, I think he'd jump of a cliff. Chizek has that secondary playing well, but the front 7 for UNC has been run all over this year. It took Chaney to figure out a way to make the UNC run D look decent.

I can't argue otherwise with your post, Peterman admits he made the mistakes, but I would like to see a break out Game where the Offense plays are 4 Quarters and scores 30 Points! The Next 4 games will decide Pitt fate and Pitt was in every game even Iowa and UNC!
