Update Dave Shultz international memorial tournament

Our two resident athletes Jon Gingrich and Samat Uulu have made it to the finals representing the PWC
That is awesome. Our donation dollars to PWC pay for these guys to train with our kids. Both are in the finals of a prestigious freestyle world level tourney. This is huge for Pitt, our kids, and the PWC. Hopefully get a champion or 2 tomorrow in the finals.

I just went to the event site and this is some tournament. There are wrestlers from all over the world plus some top Americans. Samat Uulu destroyed a Japanese wrestler 10-0 in the semis. When we hired Samat, the talk was that he was ranked in the top 5 in the world. This tournament is bearing that out. Samat works with our lightweights, namely Dom and Nick.Really interested to see what kind of an effect he's had on them. When I attended the PWC golf outing, Dom and Nick were raving about Samat, specifically the totally different style he wrestles. Zain Rutherford's dad had hired Samat to work with his son but the PWC and Gavin got him aboard our team. A small peek behind the curtain. Let's hope it translates into big wins.

Flowrestling was streaming the event...requires pro subscription though

Gotta love a guy with a last name that 3/4 composed of the letter U

Sounds like we have a couple great wrestlers teaching our kids in the PWC ..... terrific news and I expect this to pay big dividends in our wrestlers performances over time. ..... It looks like Pitt is finally putting the pieces together to build a top wrestling program. .... still a ways to go but certainly going in the right direction.
