US Steel

Trump was against the deal also...until he was for it. I don't like not having domestically owned steel titan. It's a national security issue.

Living in the Pittsburgh area, the cash infusions for plant upgrades and modernization are a godsend for the Mon Valley who's communities have gotten decimated since the early 1980's.

Great news! If you ever dealt with Nippon Steel, you'd know they are an honorable partner and will help U.S. Steel get into the 21st century. They have helped and partnered with other U.S. companies, some close to Pittsburgh, and done good by them. Nothing they've ever done indicates this will be any different for U.S. Steel.

Looks like someone in Japan bought alot of worthless meme coins. So much for the national security concerns.

USW President David McCall "not pleased". LOL...this ****ing tool, who is in bed with Cleveland Cliffs as he is a member of the Cleveland local who represents those workers and no doubt was getting paid handsomely by Cliffs to sabotage the deal still says "we need to know more". This is American unions in a nutshell. Just lobbyists to the Democratic party and no way representing the best interests of their membership. Frauds. Hypocrites. This should expose both the USW leadership and Democrats on "what's best for the working man" as being a lie.

Fvck McCall and his useless union. That union has done nothing but harm the workers at USS. They've never done anything productive or decent for the workers. Union leadership does not reflect the sentiment of the workers at all. Leadership is in bed with corrupt Dem politicians.

So us steel selling to a Japanese company is a win ?
As it relates to US Steel's ability to upgrade and modernize their plants, it's a win. Nippon is willing to put $Billions into physical plant improvements, investments US Steel either couldn't or wouldn't make. From a national security standpoint, I'd much prefer to have a domestically owned steel titan corporation.

But it’s domestic production with a foreign company selling it .

So, your concern is that owners make higher profits rather than more jobs for Americans at higher pay rates?

It's useless trying to reason with these braindead leftists. Nippon Steel has improved every steel plant they currently own in the U.S. and there have never been security issues....ever. I have dealt with some high level people at Nippon over the years. They are honest, honorable people and do what they say they will do and then some.

One plant I am very familiar with was in shambles and on the verge of going under in the mid-80's. At that time it was called Nisshin Steel and they came in and bought the company. Now that domestic company is the largest processor of galvanized and galvalume coil in the U.S. and their lines have been dramatically upgraded. They make the current U.S. Steel lines look like something out of the 1920's.

70,000 good Lord. The biggest mill in the US employs 2500 people. Keep drowning on his pablum, then maybe cult in Donald Jr In 2028-if America exists.

The U.S. Steel Mon Valley works ALONE employs over 3,000 people. That's the MVW. Stay in your lane and quit responding to subjects you know nothing about.
Gary ,Indiana. How was your White House luncheon? You do know that JL in Aliquippa could operate again if trump deems it so. By the way,is he speaking anywhere Monday? Maybe draft dodgers reunion. What a great cabinet he has assembled .

I know nothing about steel plants, but mere common sense tells me that rich owners would prefer foreign labor costs versus paying American workers more. I'll take your word on the rest. 👍

Just a little litany about your hero. By the way,3000 employees is for all the Mon. Valley plants combined. When does Donald enroll in Harvard? Too dumb?,shut it down.

l
evan, no offense, but you sound like a mentally retarded child who stumbled into a graduate level college course and is trying to tell the prefessor how to run their class..
