Usa today brackets today

5-7 seed seems reasonable today. That would be solidified by a good road win vs Va Tech if we can muster it. Keep going 1-0 and a protected seed is still in play. Love the fact that these debates are even possible.

Again, 5-7 is no different to me than 10-12 (provided you arent in a play in game). There is no home court, and it is the same path regardless.

Just don't want 8/9

Which is why it's arguably better to lose a few more to close it out and land in the 10-12 range, or ideally run the table until @Miami which should get us above the 8-9 range regardless of what happens in the ACC tournament.

We should be glad of this “disrespect” and use it as motivation like Kelce said the Chiefs did 😄

Seriously, folks let’s face it, the team is being judged not just on the season, not even being judged by overly weighting the early losses…it’s being judged by the whole past crappy decade. This perception is not going to be overcome by a few good weeks of hot play. Just keep winning, win hearts and minds over one at a time… it’s all they can do.

Bracketologists dont care about the last 7 years. We are 10-15 spots worse in NET due to the WVU/Mich blowouts. Lose close in those games and we are 3-4 seed lines better

You continue to be wrong about this.... for *THIS* year.

There is no difference between the #1, #2, and #3 seeds this year. The top dozen teams are interchangeable. This is a phenomenon *THIS* year.

This is one year where being an 8/9 is not any worse than being a 10 or and 11.

Well the difference would be that if you are, say, the six you are playing a team that is an 11 first rather than the other way around. Which is, of course, no guarantee. But it most certainly is an advantage.

6 seeds beat 11 seeds in the first round 62.5% of the time. Which makes sense, because 11 seeds are worse teams. Let's play one of those rather than one of the better ones.
