Prior to playing at PITT he and his cousin Saquon Barkley starred at East Allegheny. Barkley mostly played RB but Carter spelled him from time to time. They were such a dynamic duo in the WPIAL. I think they were runner ups their freshman year and ended up winning 3 straight PIAA titles. Do you remember the game where Barkley had to play QB vs Freeport? His uncle Charles showed up and gave one of the biggest pep talks that WPIAL coaches still talk about to this day. Carter never lived up to his dad's level at PITT. Kijana was just stronger and more decisive as a runner.

He is playing for a great coach and will be featured. Sometimes it fits and sometimes.es it doesn't. I know he didn't leave on bad terms. No issues.

I think K. Carter was trying to get Curtis Enis to help out with V. Carter's academics at PITT. Curtis was tremendous in his ability to raise the bar in the classroom both at Kiski Prep and later in college. He couldn't get the tutoring and ended up transferring to Albany because Gattuso was going to bring up Bobby Engram to not only help with the books but his route running. Word out of East Allegheny is they are beyond pleased with how this all went down.
Yes he is. Many don't realize that Jimmy sent his grandson a fresh package of Georgia roasted peanuts during his breakout game vs Duke a few years ago. The UPMC sports med staff has been studying the contents of those peanuts ever since. Their hypothesis is the polyunsaturated fats that he consumed were indeed rare and organic. Head trainer Rob Blanc was known to soak Kenny Pickett's knee after games in those same peanuts. PITT is considering marketing Pickett's Peanuts as an ode to Jimmy Carter. Tremendous work taking place at PITT.
He was a legendary rb from Turkeyfoot Valley HS. He ended up marrying Tony Sacca's younger sister. Great kid. The game had vs Midland still rings bells in wpial circles.
