You may recall that some of us identified Emoni Bush as the best remaining OH in the portal. She has committed to Oklahoma. Pitt still has 2 to 3 roster spots to fill IMO. It will be awhile until some names surface on who they may be.

Not to throw water on anything but she was a 3-rotation player at OH. Sort of why she didn't carry a ton of value. Very good hitter but Pitt isn't in a position to go get a player like that, right now.

One interesting note, I'm seeing more and more club teams using more than just one Libero and DS and a lot more 3-rotation OH's. Kind of weird to see that much specialization in juniors but it's a trend that's worth keeping an eye on. Like I said in another thread, there just aren't that many 6-rotation players that are good across the back row.

Yes....that....and she also has battled some injuries in her career.....might help explain why she lasted in the portal this long. Regarding Pitt....I have an opinion Fisher has his hands full right now figuring out how to meld this year's group into a cohesive group....almost half are new or coming off injuries from last year. If he feels he can add 2 or 3 more transfers.....he's going to be very patient and methodical on who he brings in. I'm excited to see what this season brings.

The cool thing about Fisher's style is that it doesn't take superstars. It's good he's had some but decent players who can stay aggressive can really cause problems for other teams. Might take a little while to come together, though.

He does a great job of coaching up transfers. Look a the transfers that came to Pitt and earned all american honors. At the same time, I am really looking forward to seeing Haiti run the team. I have a feeling she is going to be just fine. Will she be like Rachel, No. Not initially. But right now Rachel is the main setter on the number 1 team in LOVB. She is really that good. Even the announcers are impressed with how she disguises her back sets. I am looking forward to seeing how the team looks this year.
