Not sure how likely it would be but it's possible that Olivia could move over to the other side and one of the young middles plays opposite.

Saw someone on VT predict Garibaldi would transfer to GT - probably just a guess with the South America connections with their coach but interesting to watch for since she seems like our 4th middle at the moment.

I wonder if Emch ends up the backup to Liv at OPP this year because i believe she played both opposite and middle in high school. That would be her best opportunity to see the court i believe rather than being the fifth middle.

Still hope we are in on Ramsey Gary as a transfer libero. Would be at minimum an equivalent level player to Klika if not an upgrade. We seem like as good of a landing spot as anywhere considering our opening at libero/championship aspirations. If not, rolling with only Meyer/Dupes is risky imo. Really should have 3 capable littles on the roster, and so far they have shown no interest in playing Griffin.

Coleman vs Bayless and Haiti vs Mosher will both be important battles to watch in the offseason. Anyone know if Coleman will be in for spring season? If not then definite advantage to Bayless on winning that job, though i only expect her to play 3 rotations barring a huge improvement in passing.

Overall, I still expect Pitt to be ranked #2 or #3 in the country in the preseason rankings. Only Nebraska returns as many total all Americans as we do, and we’re the only squad to return two first team AAs. My guess will be Nebraska one, Pitt two, PSU three

Do we have any reason to suspect Pitt even made a play for her? I have no idea, but would be surprised if they did, after getting Dupes. Fisher had three DS's on the roster last year and with Meyer, Dupes and Griffin he has that again for next year. I suspect their focus is on OH, as it should be.

She would be a top 10, maybe top 5 libero in the country. It would be a mistake not to make a play for her. Griffin is never used as a DS, no reason to not try to upgrade the roster. And we have plenty of space

Don’t necessarily disagree with anything you say. But I suspect there also is an NIL component that requires choices about resource allocation.

Not only that, but they have a senior libero returning who played on two national championship teams. NIL money talks I guess.

My only issue with her going to Texas is that something like what just happened to their setter could happen to her. The fan base made the negative crap with Harper Murray look like a love fest (although it was probably Texas fans with Murray, too). That's a toxic fan base and they aren't afraid to be awful.

In addition to Stafford, Garibaldi also is no longer on the roster. I know there was speculation about her being in the portal as well, but that would seem to confirm it.

Oh, she announced. Can't remember when but it didn't seem that important or was at least overshadowed. I don't think that was a mystery once it looked like she wasn't going to play at Pitt barring someone getting hurt.

Thanks, I must've missed it. Like you said, didn't seem all that important compared to the Torrey situation.

It's fine. I don't think it was even mentioned no the board other than some speculation that she would go. It's a good problem because it means you are solid at that position, now.
