anyone who watched all the matches yesterday saw imo 8 teams playing better than Pitt has looked for our last 2 and maybe 3 games
far better serve receive, far better block, somewhat better setting, and somewhat better serving, girls flying all over the court to get balls and keep points alive in ways Pitt has done at times this year but frankly not really NEEDED to(maybe often enough) to develop in all those ways like other teams that weren't quite as dominant throughout the year
I watched almost every set this year and Pitt has never looked this inconsistent and out of sorts and there's no way it's coaching, not sure if it is illness or injury so really I have to think it's the pressure of expectation
I guess the good there is that mental can turn on a dime and I expect our talent overcomes and the keys are the obvious one in Torrey, Olivia and Rachel but Emmy and VVG are to me the biggest questions(maybe Torrey on receive too)
my expectation is Bree will be great and if Rachel truly isn't physically limited we get by Kentucky
THEN I think we are back to having the mental advantage over Louisville(likely) although they did look amazingly sharp in their crushing win
hope there's a massive crowd with atmosphere that influences things for Pitt and if so I think they return to form and Kentucky crumbles.....I expect the first set will say it all

It definitely feels like we’ve lost our mojo, at least (hopefully) temporarily. While it shows fortitude to grind out wins against good teams when you are less than 100%, earlier in the season we were dominating very good teams. Hoping today is the day they snap out of it and return to top form.
Hopefully whatever bug was going through the team is done. We need everyone to be healthy and mentally tough tonight. Wish I could be there in person to watch. I'll be cheering from my couch. H2P!
there'll be 4 here glued and hopefully screaming in support of Pitt's return to form
it will be tense for a while I'm sure but yeah, physically healthy hopefully and they have to manage the mentally as some mistakes will happen and momentum is so huge
serve pressure and serve receive will decide this imo
