I saw that post. Somebody copied and pasted it, then when I went to find it from the poster, it was down. I would hope Garibaldi would stay. I just remember her story when she first came here about how excited she was, and how fortunate she felt to be able to play college volleyball at the division one level. Sure, she didn’t get much playing time this season, but I would have thought she would have known that coming in.
I think adding Virlan late was unexpected for Garibaldi, because now she’s the third middle on the depth chart in her own class, plus a 4-star coming in with Emch. Can’t blame her for transferring to find more playing time elsewhere. I think her height just makes it tough, her hops help but she just doesn’t have the length
On VT someone with access to the portal itself stated she is in. But haven’t seen anything from her or Pitt, and her instagram is still showing all Pitt content
Is there even a way for us to direct our alliance 412 funds specifically to volleyball? I would prefer 100% of my donations go there since that can maybe make a difference unlike for football

I’m with you. I want a national title before I die. I know it’s not a popular take, but a Vball national title would mean just as much to me as football. And yeah nationally no one would care, but so what? I’d be happy. And so would plenty of others who follow the program.

I agree. I just got season tickets this past year. As much as I love football and basketball, and having season tickets for both, I enjoyed this volleyball season more than the other two combined. And honestly, if football continues trending the way it is, I’m going to have to think long and hard about keeping my tickets. So many times over the past two years I’ve walked out of Acrisure, shaking my head and mumbling to myself. My son actually asked me why we keep the tickets if we’re not enjoying ourselves. He makes a good point. I really think basketball is on the verge of breaking out. They are so much fun to watch, and I’m really looking forward to Wednesday.
I have a friend who is passionate about Penguin hockey and UFC. And if I bring up two of my passions, Chelsea FC and Pitt olympic sports, he scoffs and says “who gives a shit”.
There’s a rumor she was offered a massive contract to play professionally in Europe. Over 1mil signing bonus, $450k per year. Would make her like the highest paid volleyball player in the world
