Same!Never thought I'd plan my Saturday around volleyball over a football game
Outright ACC Champs!
Agree 2nd and 4th poor service receive and pass…ugh Pitt must've been analyzing RPI/KPI instead of focusing on their own match. The 2 sets that they've lost were just awful. Again poor passing. Need to pick it up in this 5th set.
GA Tech defense was amazing. Their libero was playing out of her mind. We seemed to give up the most points when Olivia and toree were on D. Kudos to Cat Flood for accepting and embracing her role. Great team player. Also GA tech had a player with a leg sleeve like Rachael's. She served absolute bullets. We were lucky to mitigate her in the 5th set. GA tech is going to be a problem in the tourney.Wasn't able to catch the game - anyone have the cliffsnotes on how they looked, what went well and what didn't?
I saw Pitt in 2 matches today....actually 2 different teams. Sets 1 &3 when they hit .478 and .303.....and then sets 2 and 4 when they hit .270 and .091. They fell apart in set #2 when they had a lead which slipped through their fingers. Then there was Babcock with her triple double....but she only hit .173 for the match......not normal at all for her. Although Pitt reached their normal point total per set of over 19 points/set.....they gave back a lot of points per set on average....almost 9 points/set.....far more than we've seen all year. All in all.....a very strange performance but a victory nevertheless. Lots to be thankful for.....for instance....I'm thankful I'm not a Louisville fan....talk about an awful way to end the season! While Liv had a triple double with digs, blocks and kills, I would say Bre Kelley deserves the most credit for keeping Pitt in this match. She had 15 kills which is outrageous for a middle to go along with 8 blocks. She hit .480. Ga Tech scrambling, small ball and back row D were great!
Kinda like we had to battle through a really tough 5 setter heading into the tournament.I saw Pitt in 2 matches today....actually 2 different teams.
