Playing against one another always brings up the question of when someone succeeds is it because of his outstanding play or because of the guy he was playing against is playing so poorly. Is the Pitt pass rush going to be great this season or is the Pitt OL and pass protection going to be bad this coming year?
I would say the OL is going to need to improve but it seems like there are things the defensive players are doing that are encouraging in a standalone fashion.
I think we all knew it but I believe our OL coach will certainly have his work cut out for him prior to our September 1 kickoff. I also believe I heard Coach Narduzzi or Barnes mention something about Herndon getting some offensive line reps. Not sure I hear that right.
Do you mean D Line reps? Herndon has been the 1st team right guard the whole spring, so he’s definitely getting oline reps.
Yeah Herndon has been primarily on offense this spring, although Pat Narduzzi mentioned on Tuesday that he had taken a few snaps at DT earlier in the spring.
