If the dead period does end as planned on May 31, recruits will be taking a lot of visits in June and Shawn Asbury knows where one of his visits will be.
“I’m planning to go to Pitt the weekend of June 19,” the Fredericksburg (Va.) North Stafford safety told Panther-Lair.com. “That’s the date the coaches told me they want to come up there, so that’s what I hope I can do.
“Other schools have talked to me about possibly visiting, but that’s the only one I know I’m going to do if we can take visits.”
Asbury has seven offers in addition to Pitt, but he said that the Panthers’ coaching staff has separated itself at this point in the recruiting process.
