To raise their record to 23-6 and 11-5 in the ACC. They have 2 matches left at Louisville and at ND. They have already beat both earlier this year. It's pretty clear now that Jess Wynn is out for the rest of season, tough way to end her career. They will need to win out and then hope for a bid to the tournament.

Very unfortunate break for Wynn - she made herself into a nice player. Great attitude, great heart.

The vital win over Louisville has things looking like this down the stretch for ACC 3-5:

Duke - @ UNC (#1 in ACC) 11/26, vs. @ NC State (13th in ACC) 11/29
Miami - @ Georgia Tech (12th in ACC) 11/26, @ Florida State (2nd in ACC) 11/28
Pitt - @ Notre Dame (14th in ACC) 11/28

That last Virginia Tech loss killed our chances of bringing up a three-way tie in conference wins, but we still have a (road) win over Duke & a win over LIU Brooklyn (who'll finish 1st in their conference & will finish better than they did last year when they made the tournament).

Duke's RPI is better, but we've performed better at road and neutral sites. If this tournament is like other NCAAT's, Wynn's injury could be a factor. And our RPI has come up quite a bit the last few weeks. Also, Miami made it at 19-11 last year. Florida State made it at 24-7. With a win in South Bend, we'll finish 25-6.

Going to be a tense next week.

RPI was 51 before yesterday's win.

I'm not sure it's going to move up much unless some teams lose ahead of them. ND is awful. I'm crossing my fingers and toes.
