From the look of things it might be awhile.Good thing we have some depth.
Headed to a 5th set. Pitt just really hasn’t played well at all. Have to wonder if they were looking ahead to UL.
Whew. Take it, move on. They’re obviously a very good team, but they have an on/off switch that some times they get a little too cute. But this is a classic trap game and they got through it.
Pitt had a 16-15 lead in that 4th set and then got completely blown off the court the rest of the set. That seems to happen way too often to this team. It's OK to do that against Notre Dame and most of the rest of the ACC, but against a really good team that will bite you in the butt more often than not.
I wasn't particularly happy with how the team played against ND. Should have throttled them.
Positives:
The center block and the center attack were fairly good today
Serina Gray and Leketor Member-Meneh had great games. Very impactful play
I like Sabrina Sparks in the likeup more.
Negatives:
Lund and Ndee were pretty ineffective hitters with kill % of 0.049 and 0.063 respectively
We matched ND with service aces and service errors, and we usually win this battle.
Pitt will have its hands full with Louisville.
