VT TRIP SUGGESTIONS

I'm making my first trip to VT. Any advice on where to park and things to see or avoid.
Would like a good place to tailgate prior and a bar for after to eat and watch football and eat.
Also any campus sights to see.

Sharkey's has always been good to me when I'm down there. Really good food, tons of TVs tuned to sporting events. It's in the middle of downtown Blacksburg, though, so you'll probably run into a whole mess of college kids.

I've been to Virginia Tech several times, it's tough because Blacksburg doesn't have much going for it besides VT. If you go to Lane Stadium you've pretty much seen the biggest attraction in town. The campus is nice if you want to drive around and see the sights, although they don't really have a building like the Cathedral that is an attraction in and of itself.

VT's campus is very nice. Spend a little time just walking around.

We have a new Cinabowl in town. Huge Screens, lots of beer, bowling and movie. Visit downtown establishments. Plenty of good food. Blue Hen, Social House, Cabo Fish Taco, Beaudreauxs and a few other good places. Those are more expensive. Cheap and fun, Champs, Hokie House, Sharkeys(lots of miniskirts), and rivermill.
