I think the article should've never been written let alone published. A reputable journalist has to have some discretion when "airing the dirty laundry" about any entity. I don't feel that this is going to garner him or his site any friends in the athletic department and possibly the University. Doesn't matter if you are a business or an athletic department at a major university, there will be differences with people and they don't always need to be "aired". The article was in very poor taste and even worse judgment. Not to mention the timing. I guarantee if Pitt's record was 7-4 or 6-5 instead of 4-7, the whole issue would've been ignored.
Bottom line is EVERY organization has issues and differences with the people that work there. Not all of those differences need to be publicly aired!
