Hadnt seen it mentioned anywhere, but to me it sure looked like a lot of jersey on the OK State score towards the end of the half, the long 66 yard run? Put us down by two scores and honestly thought the game was over at that point. Proud of the way they hung in there and fought back, and I think absent of the lightning delay, we might have pulled it off.

Hold or no hold they were scoring at will on us at that point

Yes, it was a blatant hold.

Not blaming the refs for the loss but in this particular game, I think we were on the wrong end of more calls than Ok St. Some of the PIs were questionable too.

It was obvious but I think we may have received at least a few favorable calls.

There were bad calls each way.

However, the fact that I don't think there was one hold called on their OLine was a problem. There was a hold on the last long pass play too.

Think the trend in CFB is that more scoring is preferred (TV likes that! Even 'Bama game was 48 - 43 yesterday, for ex. and they may be the best defensive team in the country along with tOSU). So offensive holding, especially at the LOS against OL in pass protection, seems to be getting almost to the point of extinction. Pretty much unless it's a bear hug and a tackle of the D player and it is in the wide open, they rarely call it. Hope that also "holds" true when Pitt does it!

Juan Price is starting to get the James Harrison treatment. He so overmatches the guys blocking him that he gets held on almost every play but it isn't being called.

Something that blatant out in the open that directly impacts the play has to be called.

I agree and I hope Conner's 4th down TD run right before this series that was reviewed was not taken into account during this run. In other words, "we owe OSU". I'll say I believe it wasn't, but this was a blatant hold and the result lead to a TD. HAS to be called, especially out in the open. I don't remember the announcers saying anything about it, even though they mentioned several calls they thought were bad.

This didn't cost us the game, but come on.

I'm also sick of PI called seemingly every time there is an incomplete pass. It's getting ridiculous. They have also allowed the receiver to push off more with no call. So, the receiver can push off, but the defender can't make any contact.

There was a horrible PI called yesterday on Pitt that the announcers jumped on. OSU received their fair share of calls.

Yes blatant hold and there were a couple threads on it yesterday

I believe that is true. Go back the last few years and I don't think you will find many holding calls for or against Pitt. I believe the ncaa has decided they don't want it called as much as it was in the past
